Jeff and I met in 1991 when we were both living aboard small sailing vessels. He was a lone 30 year old man with a sense of playfulness aboard the Erma B, and I was a 10 year old girl living on Feather with my parents, sister, and 2 cats. Here, we discuss some pretty big stuff that has happened in our lives over the past 27 years, since we last spoke.

In this conversation, we talk about:
Losing a loved one to cancer
"Having it all" compared to living a life of satisfaction
Adventuring, outdoor activities
Abstract art
Successful career
Fear of being a beginner
Surprising yourself
What winning looks like
Coffee, yoga, weight training, rowing
Importance of technique
How to have a healthy beginner’s mind
Long distance bike racing, sailing
Staying on task
Fighting the voices in your head
Deciding, commitment and goals
Commitment in relationships
Blindness, working around chronic illness
Tandem biking
Paddling at night
Resilience, gratitude
Security versus struggle
Life changing for the better
Jeffrey is not on social media, but if you ask nicely, I can probably put you in touch with him ;)
